I was about writing a post complaining about failing with my new goals. But does complaining bring you any further in life? No! So I’m writing about my positive progress instead, because I did a morning run today and it feels sooo great… 😏 Today, I got up at 5 am. Yes, that’s really early compared to the times I got up over the last weeks, which was usually just 7:30, sometimes even 8:30.
There are things I don’t like to do, but I have to. Due to that there’s a lack of motivation sometimes, I just don’t want to do it, but I have no other option. The worst kind of things I don’t like to do are the things I’m stuck at. When I just have no idea how to solve them. And there are things I like to do, but lack motivation to.
I’m an idiot. A stupid bastard. Really stupid. Because I needed some timeoff, I wished to be ill - knowing that my wishes are just very rarely come true. And what happened? Yes, my wish came true. [insert facepalm emoji here] Just one or two days after I came up with this horrible idea and decision, it catched me. I was just sitting in the lecture hall, listening to the lecturer, when stomach cramps hit me, and they hit me hard.
Lectures at the university start next week. So, since the beginning of the week, I have been thinking intensively about the problem of how to get a cheap but not too cheap convertible so that I can do my studies almost without paper. Convertibles are definitely not cheap and I have a quite limited budget. Not because I don’t have the money, but because I don’t want to spend more than 500€ on one device.
When I surf the Internet on my daily journey, I see a billion articles that want to show me how I can optimize my life, how I can become more successful, how I can be one of the top 1%. And even if I read some of them and think that they are good advice, I won’t implement any of them in the end. Because if you want to change, you have to want to change.
