There are things I don’t like to do, but I have to. Due to that there’s a lack of motivation sometimes, I just don’t want to do it, but I have no other option. The worst kind of things I don’t like to do are the things I’m stuck at. When I just have no idea how to solve them.
And there are things I like to do, but lack motivation to. Maybe it’s because the other things pull me down and take away my motivation for the things I like to do too? Maybe I’m not motivated to do them, because there’s a voice in my head telling me, I first have to do the mandatory things, before doing the fun things, so I do neither of them?
Having no motivation sucks. It is a really bad feeling, when you think about how much fun it would be to do the fun things, but not doing it because your bad conscience. When procrastination overcomes you and time flies by without being productive.
Why is motivation such a variable thing? Can’t motivation stay for ever? How can I maximize the time of motivation?
My experience showed me that I’m more motivated when I go running like every second day, when I’m able to take a short break from all the tasks and get a clear mind (and also a lot of oxigen in my mind). So when I don’t go running for a longer time, my motivation probably reduces too.
But what do I do when I can’t go running (for example when my health isn’t allowing it for a few days)? A question I’m not able to answer yet…
Motivation seems to be a result of a good balance between the things you do. Too many not so funny things and too less fun things result in low motivation. The other way around, it’s often the same, you get bored.
Tell me your ways to get motivated again, when you feel you don’t have the right balance anymore!
